背景簡介

獲得香港科技大學生物學學士學位及香港浸會大學
教育學深造文憑後,陳博士於生物醫學學院取得藥理學博士學位,先後在母校生物醫學學院和內科及藥物治療學系臨床藥理學部完成博士後研究。 15 年來,陳博士一直參與臨床前和臨床研究,重點關注與進食、噁心、嘔吐控制、糖尿病和心血管疾病相關的機制。陳博士於2012年加入明愛專上學院擔任助理教授,並於2016年獲委任為健康科學學院副教授。陳博士亦為英國皇家生物學會特許生物學家,香港生物學會主席,Gut Rhythm R&D (HK) Ltd顧問專業藥理學家,以及香港中文大學生物醫學學院腫瘤生物學及實驗藥物治療學主題研究組成員。

教學

陳博士曾任教的科目包括人體解剖學與生理學 (BIOL112) 、生物與生命科學 (HDE102) 、人體病理生理學 (BIOL113) 、藥理學及治療學導論(PHAR112) 、藥理學及治療學 (二) (PHAR215) 、基本藥理學 (HECA201) 、微生物學及感染控制 (HECA083) 以及微生物學與護理 (NUR103)。她同時任教醫院管理局護理學課程、聖德肋撒醫院護理學課程以及仁安醫院護理學課程。陳博士曾任教的科目包括生命科學、微生物學與藥理學導論、人類生物學及臨床微生物學。

研究

噁心和嘔吐,無論是在藥物治療後還是由於疾病誘發,都可能令人虛弱。我們使用鼩鼱作為動物模型,因為常用的實驗室動物不能嘔吐,因此新化學成份誘發噁心和嘔吐的潛力在標準實驗研究中經常被忽略。我們通過使用行為測試、手術和無線電遙測技術,再加上免疫組織化學,可以同時收集一系列相關數據,包括行為實驗期間的心血管功能和胃動力,還可以獲得與進食、噁心和嘔吐控制機制相關的信號通路,以補充和證實其他數據。
