The appointee is required to work as a team member in conducting research studies within the School. Duties include conducting literature review, data collection and analysis, report writing and supporting all matters related to the research projects.

Applicants should (a) have a recognized bachelor degree or above in social sciences or relevant disciplines; (b) have good knowledge and research skills in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data analysis; (c) have good computer knowledge; SPSS, MPLUS (in multilevel CFA and Rasch Modelling) are necessary; (d) have good command of both written and spoken in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (e) have good interpersonal and communication skill; and (f) be able to work independently.

The appointee will be responsible (a) to assist in the management of the project; (b) to coordinate with collaborative partners and project team; (c) to provide support for the preparation of research material; (d) to assist in recruitment, data collection, data entry and data analysis; (e) to conduct literature research; (f) to assist in the preparation of abstracts, manuscripts and reports; and (g) to perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader or his/her delegates.

Applicants should (a) have a recognized bachelor degree or above in Nursing, Social Sciences Social Sciences, Psychology or other related disciplines or equivalent qualification; (b) have research knowledge and skills in conducting quantitative studies; (c) have good computer knowledge such as MS Office, SPSS, etc.; (d) have good command of both written and spoken in English and Chinese; (e) have good interpersonal and communication skill; and (f) be able tow work independtly.

The appointee will conduct research including literature review, data collection and analysis in the field of Accounting, Taxation and related disciplines mainly in a China context. He/she will handle all teaching support duties as required.

Applicants should have (a) preferably a recognized Master's or higher degree for research appointments, at least a recognized Bachelor degree for teaching appointment; (b) experiences in providing supports related to both teaching and research in a business department (particularly in Accountancy) of a recognized academic institution; and (c) fluency in English and Putonghua are preferred.

The appointee will be responsible for assisting the research in the following FDS projects: Robust Graph-based Clustering: From Shallow to Deep [UGC/FDS11/E02/22].

The tasks include performing literature reviews, collecting and analyzing research data, preparing research reports and materials, preparing training dataset, etc.

Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 3-12 months commencing at earliest convenience.

Applicants should (i) be senior year students of a bachelor degree or above; (ii) have experience in statistical data; (iii) be able to work independently; (iv) have good communication and interpersonal skills; and (v) have good English writing skills. Applicants with publication experience are preferred.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator to support the research project. Duties include data collection and analysis, conduct interviews and focus groups, report writing and other related responsibilities as required. The appointee should be able to work independently and communicate in English and Chinese.

Applicants should possess at least a degree in social science or relevant disciplines. Candidate with suitable qualification and relevant experience may be appointed at a higher rank. Preference will be given to candidate possesses a higher qualification; has knowledge and research skills in both quantitative and qualitative research, and/or has relevant research experience.

Appointment will be made on contract basis, which may be renewed thereafter subject to funds available.

One candidate will be appointed for each of the three different disciplines of Accounting & Finance / Corporate Administration; Entrepreneurship / Management; and Hotel & Tourism / Marketing. Each of them will assist in administrative and coordinating work of (a) research project(s). Tasks include: (a) conducting literature review; (b) collecting and analysing data; (c) managing and updating databases; (d) preparing reports; and (e) others as assigned.

The appointee will be responsible for assisting the research of ISG project: UAV-aided network intelligence techniques for disaster management [ISG210101].

The tasks include algorithm design, training data preparation, implementing the designed algorithms and so on. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 3-12 months commencing at earliest convenience.

Applicants should (i) be senior year students of a bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines; (ii) have experience in algorithm design, computer network, or deep learning; (iii) be able to work independently; and (iv) have good communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants with publication experience are preferred.

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator and the team members in all research related activities – "Meeting on the Rainbow: Virtual Social Club for the Socially Isolated Carer in the Community", including (i) to conduct the literature review and draft reports; (ii) data collection using questionnaires; (iii) administrative and logistics work related to data collection and management; and (iv) perform other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences or a related discipline; (ii) solid quantitative and qualitative research experience using SPSS software; (iii) excellent English and Chinese proficiency.

An appointment will be made for a half-time position (for one year contract), will be renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The research project focuses on exploring the intersection of AI, ICT, and telehealth. Applicants should have (a) a Master or PhD in the relevant disciplines: Computer Sciences, Information Sciences, Social Sciences; (b) proven experience in organizing and coordinating activities across multidisciplinary teams; (c) strong background in AI, ICT, or telehealth research; (d) excellence analytical and problem-solving skills; and (e) demonstrated ability to publish research findings in reputable journals or conferences.

The appointee will be responsible to assist staff members within the School to conduct administrative and coordinating research activities and research projects. Tasks include: (a) literature search, (b) coordinating research work, (c) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (d) preparing reports; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) at least a bachelor's degree in nursing, health science, allied health backgrounds, or statistics-related qualifications; (ii) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of quantitative research, and prior experience of conducting statistical analysis are preferred.

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant for the project "Providing Clean Air to Breathe by Wet Electrostatic Precipitators".

The appointee will be responsible (a) collaborate with the research team to design and conduct experiments related to wet electrostatic precipitators for indoor air purification; (b) develop and implement IoT-based monitoring systems to assess air quality parameters; (c) collect and analyze data to evaluate the performance of the wet electrostatic precipitators and propose improvements; (d) contribute to the publication of research findings in scientific journals and present results at conferences; (e) work closely with the project lead and team members to ensure the project's objectives are met; and (f) assist in the supervision and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students involved in the project.

Applicants should have (a) a PhD in engineering from a top 100 university at any ranking; (b) strong background and expertise in the field of engineering; (c) demonstrated knowledge and experience in indoor air quality research; (d) familiarity with IoT (Internet of Things) technologies and their application in environmental monitoring; (e) excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; and (f) proficient in data analysis and scientific software.

The appointee will be responsible for various tasks for the research projects. Tasks include: (a) conducting research studies, (b) data collection and analysis, report writing and other related responsibilities as required.

Applicants must have/be (i) a bachelor's degree in any discipline; (ii) a licensed music therapist; (iii) at least 1 year of working experiences in music therapy.

Research Professor / Research Associate Professor / Research Assistant Professor (4 posts): the appointees will be responsible for various tasks relating to the Chinese culture project, which include (a) coordinating research design; (b) overseeing data collection and analysis; (c) writing academic publications and reports; (d) editing book series and academic journals; (e) teaching courses in language, culture, general education, or translation technology; and (f) performing other duties as assigned.

Technician (2 posts): the appointees will (a) assist the work of system construction and maintenance of the project; (b) help with the teaching of computer-related courses of the programmes of the School; and (c) perform other duties as assigned.

Research Assistant (6 posts): the appointees will (a) assist the work of painting, drawing, animation, video production, and photography relating to the Chinese culture project; (b) assist the work of data collection and analysis; and (c) perform other duties as assigned.

Research Professor / Research Associate Professor / Research Assistant Professor: Applicants should have (a) a doctoral degree in the humanities, computer science, or other related fields; (b) strong background in research; (c) ability to work independently; (d) proficiency in writing in English and Chinese; (e) proficiency in communication and presentation skills; and (f) ability to teach language, culture, general education, or translation technology courses.

Research Assistant: Applicants should have (a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in the humanities or relevant fields; (b) knowledge and skills of computer graphics; and (c) have good communication skills and sense of responsibility.

Technician: Applicants should have (a) a bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science or relevant fields; (b) familiarity with database management tools (such as SQL, MS Access, etc.); (c) knowledge and skills of programming (such as Python); (d) proficiency in image technology; and (e) able to work independently.

The appointee will be responsible to assist with the administrative and coordination of the research project. Tasks include: (a) making arrangement to ensure a smooth research study; (b) collecting data and conducting data analysis; (c) preparing reports; and (d) performing other assigned duties.

A full-time research assistant with a bachelor's degree in either nursing, health sciences, gerontology, mental health or psychology, at least 2-3 years of research experience and/or knowledge of qualitative research, and at least 2-3 years of work experiences. Converses well and able to work independently with staff and supervised by the Principal Investigator. Duties include: (1) contacting participants and conducting data collection, (2) organizing and analyzing data, (3) assisting with writing the research reports, and (4) providing administration, coordination and secretarial support for the research team.

Applicants should have (i) a bachelor's degree in nursing, health science, gerontology, mental health or psychology; (ii) 3-4 years of research experience and knowledge of qualitative research; and (iii) some working experiences in gerontology and long-term care settings.

Apart from conducting researches, securing external research grants, and undertaking research and scholarly tasks as the main duties, the appointee shall also be responsible for teaching in related areas, and other assigned duties.  

Applicants should have (i) an earned and recognized Doctorate or Master's degree in either nursing, health sciences, mental health, psychology or relevant disciplines; (ii) previous experiences in handling qualitative research or in gerontology and long-term care, and healthcare issues, and (iii) relevant teaching / professional / research experiences. Preference will be given to those with doctoral degree having teaching experience in degree programmes / proven research record. Less experience applicant will be considered as Research Associate / Research Assistant.

The appointee will be responsible for assisting the research of Artificial Intelligence Research project (ITBG190103).

The tasks include algorithm design, training data preparation, implementing the designed algorithms and so on. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 3-12 months commencing at earliest convenience.

The appointee will be responsible to assist the workshop coordination. Tasks include: (a) providing workshop onsite support; (b) liaising external and internal parties for the workshop coordination and arrangement; (c) providing general administrative support preparing reports; and (d) performing other duties as assigned.

The appointee is mainly required to assist in research project entitled 'Narratives of Students with Special Educational Needs in Hong Kong: Identity, emotions and pedagogy'. The research tasks involve but not limited to reviewing literature, arranging and conducting in-depth interviews, transcribing audio recordings, analyzing data, and handling relevant administrative tasks. Appointment will be made on a contract basis for 6 months.

Applicants should (i) have a recognised Bachelor's degree or above in Applied Linguistics/ (Special) Education/ Psychology or Social Work; (ii) have relevant research experience and knowledge of qualitative research; (iii) be able to work independently, have an investigative nature, attention to detail, and an analytical aptitude; (iv) be familiar with procedures of conducting in-depth interviews and with analyzing interview data; and (v) have good communication skills and fluency in English and Chinese. Experience in conducting discourse analysis will be an advantage.

Appointees taking up these Research and Development projects will (i) conduct Research and Development work on the production of demonstration systems at industrial standard and also produce high-level research papers in international academic journals, on the above topics.

The first project is on Research and Development of Machine Learning Technologies for Applications, such as Automatic Football Commentary Systems. The second project is on the design theory of Deep Learning. The third project is on Super-Resolution of small or faint objects using deep learning.

For Research Fellow (at the level of assistant professor in research), applicants should have (i) PhD degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or in related areas with the ability to conduct research independently in the above subject areas, (ii) strong technical English writing skills as evidenced by prior technical publications and (iii) good presentation skills as evidenced by prior experience to present technical papers.

For Research Associate/Research Assistant, applicants should have (i) master degree or BSc(Hons)/BEng(Hons) degree in the related areas or BSc(hons)/BEng(hons) degree with 1^st or 2.1 honors, with interest and studied subject areas in the above topics, (ii) strong intention to become a professional in Machine Learning. 

Note: (1) For PhD holders with insufficient experience in the subject area or without a sufficiently good related publication record may join the research initially as a Research Associate.
