背景简介

获得香港科技大学生物学学士学位及香港浸会大学
教育学深造文凭后,陈博士于生物医学学院取得药理学博士学位,先后在母校生物医学学院和内科及药物治疗学系临床药理学部完成博士后研究。 15 年来,陈博士一直参与临床前和临床研究,重点关注与进食、噁心、呕吐控制、糖尿病和心血管疾病相关的机制。陈博士于2012年加入明爱专上学院担任助理教授,并于2016年获委任为健康科学学院副教授。陈博士亦为英国皇家生物学会特许生物学家,香港生物学会主席,Gut Rhythm R&D (HK) Ltd顾问专业药理学家,以及香港中文大学生物医学学院肿瘤生物学及实验药物治疗学主题研究组成员。

教学

陈博士曾任教的科目包括人体解剖学与生理学 (BIOL112) 、生物与生命科学 (HDE102) 、人体病理生理学 (BIOL113) 、药理学及治疗学导论(PHAR112) 、药理学及治疗学 (二) (PHAR215) 、基本药理学 (HECA201) 、微生物学及感染控制 (HECA083) 以及微生物学与护理 (NUR103)。她同时任教医院管理局护理学课程、圣德肋撒医院护理学课程以及仁安医院护理学课程。陈博士曾任教的科目包括生命科学、微生物学与药理学导论、人类生物学及临床微生物学。

研究

噁心和呕吐,无论是在药物治疗后还是由于疾病诱发,都可能令人虚弱。我们使用鼩鼱作为动物模型,因为常用的实验室动物不能呕吐,因此新化学成份诱发噁心和呕吐的潜力在标准实验研究中经常被忽略。我们通过使用行为测试、手术和无线电遥测技术,再加上免疫组织化学,可以同时收集一系列相关数据,包括行为实验期间的心血管功能和胃动力,还可以获得与进食、噁心和呕吐控制机制相关的信号通路,以补充和证实其他数据。
