Biography

I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Canada, under the supervision of Professor Xuemin (Sherman) Shen. I have received both of the Bachelor and Master degree from Zhejiang University, China. I have been a software engineer at Alcatel Shanghai Bell Ltd from 2011 to 2014 and served as research associate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2018 to 2020. My research mainly focuses on Internet of vehicle, AI enabled networking, edge-cloud computing. I am also very interested in practical network systems, including WiFi, IoT and 5G networks.

Teaching

In the past years, I have been fortunate to gain much teaching experience as a teaching assistant, course tutorial lecturer and laboratory assistant. I have been a teaching assistant of undergraduate course 'Digital Signal Processing' lectured by Prof. Aiping Huang, when I am a master student in Zhejiang University. During my Ph.D. program at University of Waterloo, I have been a tutorial lecturer of the junior student course 'Analog and Digital Communications' lectured by Prof. Weihua Zhuang. I have supervised three co-op students at University of Waterloo. The co-op program was to help undergraduate students to inspire them to research excellence from implementing real network systems or demos. I provided both technical help and encouragement along the way, while striving to be their mentor, friend and motivator.

Research

Self-aggregating and intelligent resource allocation are becoming the important requirement of the next generation wireless networks. The rising challenges from future Internet applications enforce us to exploit the recent technology development that not only advancing wireless telematic and extended communication paradigms, but also the emerging artificial intelligence (AI) based network resource management, decentralized and scalable networking, edge-cloud computing and so son. My research focuses on artificial intelligence-based Networking, Internet-of-Things (IoT) systems and various Internet of vehicles (IoV) technologies.
