We would like to express our deep gratitude towards the Tin Ka Ping Foundation for the donation of HK$1million in establishing the Tin Ka Ping Value Education Scholarship (for 2022/23 to 2026/27) to support the whole person formation of students at Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (the Institutes).

The Inauguration of The Joint Students' Union of CIHE and CBCC - Epiphany and Joint School of Social Science Society - Socsurmount was held on 9 Dec 2022.

Student Organisations Election Day 2020

The Student Organisations Election Day 2020 was held on 23 - 25 Nov and the Counting of Votes was held on 26 Nov. Aurora, the only candidate cabinet running for the election of the Student Union 2021, and Serendipity, the only candidate cabinet running for the election of Society of School of Health Sciences 2021, won in their own contests. Congratulation to all elected students.

Points of You for HDD Students

SAO invited Prof. Alice Lai, consultant of Unit for Learning Achievement (ULA), SAO, to hold the Point of You Workshop for students from Higher Diploma in Design Programme.

Meeting with Donor of Always Hope Foundation Scholarship

SAO invited some of the recipients of the Always Hope Foundation Scholarship to meet with the donor on 15 Sep. Donor also enjoyed the talent show prepared by the students with the Management of CIHE & CBCC.

Zooming Home: Zoom Light!

SAO organized the Zooming Home Round 3: Zoom Light after the examination of 2nd semester from 8 May to 12 Jun for students to have a relaxing time at the beginnig of summer break.

Zooming Home: GPA Achiever Zoom

As examination of 2nd semester was approaching, in order to encourage our students, SAO organized the 2nd round of Zooming Home: GPA Achiever Zoom from 14 Apr to 29 Apr 2020. Differ to the theme as speakers' story, GPA Achiever Zoom focused on the study skills, stress relieving skills and encouragement from teachers.

Student Affairs Office Organized the Zooming Home Programme: First Round from 16 Mar to 10 Apr 2020. Zooming Home is a broadcast programme for the students to know more about their fellow schoolmates, teachers, admin staff and guests invited by the SAO. Each session will last for 30 minutes and and two sessions were held every school day.

Mid Autumn Festival Lunch

Student Affairs Office held the Mid Autumn Festival on 12 Oct 2019. Staff and student, especially non-Chinese speaking students, enjoyed fruits and mooncake together.

Music Cafe: Welcome You with Music

Sponsored by International Hybrid Learning Society, Student Affairs Office held "Music Cafe - Welcome You with Music" Music Performance as a homecoming event to send a warm greeting to the students.

Summer Light Volleyball Coach Training Sessions

Supported by The Hong Kong Light Volleyball Association, SAO had organised training sessions for student to achieve the light volleyball coach license in July. This is also one of the Sport-for-All Day events.

Body-Mind-Spirit Self-Growth Workshop

SAO hosted the Body-Mind-Spirit Workshop on 22 -23 June. Students learned to integrate their body, mind and spirit, and learned to love and to forgive others in the workshop.

Guiding Star Award Presentation Ceremony 2018/19

Cheung Hoi Yi Koey, Fung Ching Nam, Wong Yuen Ying, Chan Man Yi and Cheong Siu Mui, five Higher Diploma in Social Work Students, was awarded with the Guiding Star Scholarship Award 2018/19. The Guiding Star Scholarship Award is sponsored by Drs. Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation and administered by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. The scholarship aims to enocurge young people with the aspiration in making positive changes in others' lives and making contribution to the community by devoting themselves in the helping profession of social work, regardless of their own circumstances. There are only 20 scholarships in 2018/19. Congratulations to all our five awardees.

CBCC - Manhattan Rotaract Inauguration

CBCC - Manhattan Rotaract held their inauguration ceremony on 28 May 2019. Dr. Kim Mak, our President, and Dr. Anna Ng, Director of Student Affairs cum Assistant Professor attended the ceremony and gave speech to encourage students.

Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund Joint Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2019

SPSS Presentation Ceremony was held on 30 Apr 2019 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. A total of 113 CIHE/CBCC students were awarded the scholarship and 15 of them attended the Ceremony.

Fuel You Up with Music

Sponsored by International Hybrid Learning Society, Student Affairs Office held "Fuel You Up with Music" performance to refuel students from preparing examination.

3-on-3 Basketball Competition

Our Basketball Society, Shadow, held the 3-on-3 Basketball Competition on 25 Apr 2019. Student formed their own team of three to join the competition.

Student Ambassador Training – Philosophy of Life and Death

Dr. Ying Goon Kau, assistant professor of Department of General Education and Language Studies, taught our student ambassador philosophy of Life and Death on 8 Apr 2019.

Student Ambassador Training - Interviews and Write-up on Life Education

The training was divided into two parts: first part was a talk titled "Unreached Angel" held by Ms. Connie Chan, Pastoral Officer from Pastoral Commission for Marriage and the Family of Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, sharing about experience in interviews with women who had suffered from miscarriage. After that Mr. Vincent Teng Chuen-Cheong, chief editor of Hong Kong Economic Journal Monthly and speaker of the second part, taught our student ambassadors technique in interviews and write-up on life education topics.

Blood Donation Day

BANG, Society of School of Health Science, organised the Blood Donation Day on 18 Mar 2019. More than 60 units of blood were collected on that day.

Mr. John Chu, ministry from Pastoral Commission for Marriage and the Family of Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, held a talk titled "Love, Sex & Theology: Loving your body" for our student ambassadors on 18 Mar 2019.

Student Ambassadors Service in Missal hosted by Cardinal Filoni

Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples in the Roman Curia, hosted a Missal in the chapel of CIHE on 5 Mar 2019. Our Student Ambassadors volunteered in it and guided the participants to the seats.

Our volleyball team had a friendly match with SOUK Volley Team on 27 Feb 2019.

Student Talk by Fr. Francis Ching

Visual Disabled Father Francis Ching from Waterloo Chinese Catholic Community, Canada, held a talk titled "Ad Destinatum Persequor – Turn Adversity into Bless". In the talk, he shared his own story and experience in evangelisation in education institute.

Student Organisations Blessing Mass

Our Chaplain, Arturo De La Torre Guerrero, held the Blessing Ceremony for Student Ambassadors and all student organisations. Wish they could have a fruitful year.

Student Organisations Training

On 1 Feb 2019, all student organisation representatives joined the administrative training for procedure on venue reservation, school funding application, event promotion and proposal writing, etc.

Student Ambassador Training - Weekly Running

For promotion of students' healthy living style, student ambassadors ran every Monday from Jan to Apr, and they had their first running on 28 Jan 2019.

Student Ambassador Programme - Inauguration Ceremony

Student Ambassador at Caritas “Catch Up” Charity Walk and Funfair

"Catch Up" Charity Walk is one of the Caritas 65^th anniversary events and held on 19 Jan 2019 at The Hong Kong Golf Club. All donation raised in the event would fund and furnish diverse services of Caritas. Student Ambassador, as the Institute's representative, volunteered in the event.

Emotional Wellness Booth

As a member of Federation for Self-financing Tertiary Education (FSTE), SAO organised the Promoting Emotional Wellness and Resilience in the Self-financing Tertiary Education with FSTE. And the first activity was the Pre-Carnival Onsite Workshops on 14 – 18 Jan 2019, including "Mindful Canteen" workshop and "Handmade Notebook" workshop which spread positive energy to all staff and students.
