Establishment of CIHE Lions Club Diabetes Service Station

Thanks to the generous donation from Lions Clubs International District 303 Hong Kong & Macao, China, Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) received 1.39 million in support of the establishment of "CIHE Lions Club Diabetes Service Station", a diabetes centre located at the community health centre of CIHE to provide community health service to individuals with increased risk of developing diabetes or individuals with diabetes, and to the caregivers of diabetic patients. 

Dr Kim Mak (President of CIHE&CBCC) and Dr John Leung (District Governor) attended the signing ceremony held on 17 Oct 2020 and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to mark the collaboration. In the welcoming speech, Dr Mak said that the Station enjoys a close proximity to the Tiu Keng Leng MTR station, which will be an ideal location for carrying out diabetes screening and education work. He also revealed that CIHE will arrange over 1,000 health sciences students to provide support to the Station in the future.
