30 Apr 2019

The Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) is offered by the HKSAR Government to give recognition to students with outstanding academic performance and talents in other non-academic fields. There are five types of scholarships established under the Scheme, which included Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS), Best Progress Award (BPA), Talent Development Scholarship (TDS), Reaching Out Award (ROA), and Endeavour Scholarship (EDS).

This year, 113 students from our Institute and College were awarded for the scholarship, which amounted over two million dollars in total. 15 CIHE & CBCC awardee representatives attended the Joint Scholarship Presentation Ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and received the certificates from Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, GBS, JP, Chairman of Committee on Self-finacing Post-secondary Education, on 30 April 2019. Emma Lei, a Year 2 student of Higher Diploma in Fashion Design and OPS awardee, was also invited to participate in the fashion showcase by displaying her artwork.

Congratulations to all the awardees on their excellence and distinctive achievement!
