Appointment Criteria

The Project “Joint-Institution Network for Student Success” (JINESS) is funded by the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme. The JINESS project is jointly established by five self-financed higher education institutions, namely, Hang Seng Management College (as the Principal Investigator), Caritas Institute of Higher Education, Centennial College, Chu Hai College of Higher Education and Tung Wah College. It aims to develop a “Joint-Institution Career Portal” for students to identify career opportunities, engage in career development programmes, and interact with students and career masters from all the self-financed higher education institutions.

JINESS will also facilitate inter-institutional events, such as career fair, human resources forums, student conference and research to provide students with unique opportunities for personal enrichment as well as all-round development while preparing them for future careers.

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) working closely with the JINESS Project Team, IT Team and other Project Officers in launching and supporting the online platform, planning and implementing the inter-institutional events and programmes; (ii) supporting the institution’s initiatives in career planning and development; (iii) establishing and maintaining positive and effective relationships with employers and students through activities and events; (iv) preparing relevant activity report and collecting data for management’s review and planning; (v) keeping accurate and complete records of all the documents in relation to JINESS; and (vi) undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Senior Project Officer and the Management Committee of the JINESS project.

The development of industry-aligned programme to support internship is a project funded by the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme. It aims to establish employability of students by developing their career readiness including work experience, industry exposure, job-hunting and general skills.

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (1) establishing network and meeting with companies to explore internship opportunities; (2) developing an institute-wide standardized internship programme for all students; (3) coordinating the internship programme.

Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (a) an earned and recognized degree; (b) ability to independently and effectively design, execute and lead; (c) exposure to business world with diverse experience; (d) strong demonstration of learning orientation; (e) passionate with developing youth; (f) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (g) proficiency in applying technology for operational effectiveness and stakeholders engagement; (h) mature and pleasant personality with good team spirit, communication skills and interpersonal relationship; and (i) relevant work experience.

He/ She will be responsible for establishing career readiness of students through (a) developing and conducting internship training workshop; (b) working closely with the Project Team to implement the internship programme; (c) preparing relevant activity reports and collecting data for management’s review and planning; (d) keeping accurate and complete records of all the documents in relation to the project; (e) undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Project Leader.

Applicants should have (a) an earned and recognized degree; (b) relevant work experience in providing career planning and related advisory service to youth; (c) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (d) proficiency in computer applications; (e) a mature and pleasant personality with good team spirit, communication skills and interpersonal relationship; and (f) passion in developing youth.

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) overseeing the scholarship scheme and financial assistance programmes to provide financial support/resources to eligible students; (ii) coordinating outreach training programmes to engage future target students in the Get-Set-Go Youth Development programme; (iii) liaising with various academic units of the Institutes and other secondary schools / institutes in a professional manner and maintain a good relationship with internal and external stakeholders; and (iv) developing timely and high-quality proposals.

 
Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (i) an earned and recognised Master’s degree or above, preferably in Communication; (ii) at least 5-8 years of relevant work experience; (iii) high creativity and strong project management skills; (iv) excellent writing skills in Chinese and English; and (v) good organizational and communication skills.

Duties

The appointee will be responsible for (i) assisting the Project Manger to coordinate and supervise the design project; (ii) coordinating the production of promotion materials and publications; (iii) liaising with project stakeholders in concept design, project administration, documentation and presentation; and (iv) collecting and consolidating records of related project administrative documents, etc.

 
Appointment Criteria

Applicants should have (i) an earned and recognised degree in Design, Project Management or related disciplines; (ii) at least 5 years’ relevant work experience; (iii) proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, Sketch up, Photoshop and Illustrator; (iv) good command of spoken and written in English and Chinese; and (v) good organization and project management skills.
