Scholarships & Awards
1) Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS)
This scheme is offered by HKSAR Government to give recognition not only to students with outstanding academic performance, but also those with achievements and talents in other non-academic fields. Scholarships and awards will be offered to students pursuing full-time locally accredited self-financing sub-degree or bachelor’s degree (including top-up degree) programmes.

In accordance with established policies and practice, the Institute/College may award up to three scholarships to students with the highest annual Grade Point Average (GPA) in all courses in each study year of each academic program. Awards are recommended by Schools/Departments and approved by the Academic Board.
The number of scholarship is proportional to the number of students in that year of study as follows:

3) Hong Kong Caring Magic Circus Service Scholarship
This scholarship is established to encourage and recognize students with active participation in community services. The award is set at HK$2,500 for four full-time students pursuing sub-degree or bachelor degree programme at either Caritas Bianchi College of Careers (CBCC) or Caritas Institute of Higher Education (CIHE).
4) Guiding Star Scholarship Award
Guiding Star Scholarship Award is sponsored by Drs Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation and administered by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. The scholarship aims to encourage young people with the aspiration in making positive changes in others’ lives and in giving back to the community to devote themselves in the helping profession of social work, regardless of their economic circumstances.

1) Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme
Starting from the 2017/18 academic year, the Government will provide a non-means-tested annual subsidy of HK$30,000 for eligible new and continuing students pursuing full-time locally-accredited local and non-local self-financing undergraduate (including top-up degree) programmes in Hong Kong (expect for those enrolled in places already support under the Student Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP)) offered by eligible institutions participating in the scheme.
This scheme is administrated by the Student Finance Office of Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA – SFO) to provide means-tested financial assistance to needy full-time students pursuing locally-accredited, self-financing pose-secondary education programmes at the level of sub-degree or bachelor’s degree.
This scheme is administrated by the Student Finance Office of Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFAA – SFO) to complement the Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP) to provide loan(s) to eligible students to settle tuition fees of locally-accredited, self-financing, full-time post-secondary education programmes at the level of sub-degree or bachelor’s degree.
