The 2011-12 CIHE and CBCC Reflection Programme for Academic Staff was held on 26 March 2012 (Monday). The theme of the Programme is “Towards a Catholic University”. The institutions invited Professor Cheng Kai-Ming, Professor and Chair of Faculty of Education, Senior Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor, University of Hong Kong, to conduct a talk on the current development trend of higher education worldwide.
The 2011 Joint Graduation Ceremony of Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers was held on 9 January 2012 (Monday). Over 350 students graduated from the two Institutions.

The theme of the Programme is “How to Achieve More with Less?” The institutions invited Professor Chan Tsang Sing, Shun Hing Chair Professor of Marketing and Associate Vice-President (Academic Quality Assurance), Lingnan University, to conduct a talk on “Re-engineering”.

徐誠斌獲准轉專上學院
特首及行政會議本月初認許「明愛徐誠斌學院」可使用新校名「明愛專上學院」，教育局指明愛專上學院的工商管理榮譽學士課程，今年3月已通過評審局的課程評審，9月可開課。
教育局昨日提供給立法會的文件指出，2011年5月初行政會議建議，行政長官指令准「明愛徐誠斌學院」使用「明愛專上學院」為新中文校名，英文校名為 Caritas Institute of Higher Education。
教育局稱，增加可頒授學位的院校，有利香港轉型至知識型經濟。今年9月，明愛專上學院開辦首個工商管理榮譽學士課程，10年內發展成中國境內的私立天主教大學。
